German Technicians verified components of the windmill In the framework of the verification and test in bank tasks developed, NRG PATAGONIA received during the first week of December 2009 the visit of technicians from Denmark and Germany, one from Mita Teknik Company- to verify the control system and its electronical components- and , at the same time, Dewi Institue inspectors worked (Deutsches Windenergie Institut). This German Institute issued, long ago, le certifications for windmills subjected to class IEC 2 winds ( these are characteristics from Europe, with lower intensity to the Patagonic winds).
Actually , NRG PATAGONIA has asked to the same institute the process of certification of NRG 1500 for IEC 1+ winds ( with an annual average speed of 11 meters per second), that is why till the moment it has been verified the calculus of aerodynamic loads generated by such winds; the verification of the design of the different components; the manufacturing essay of them all; and, in this actual step done in Comodoro Rivadavia, the testing essays in the workshop of the joint composed by the energy train and blades core.
During next weeks it is predicted the confirmation of the mounting date and the start of the energy supply, this allow the certification of the windmill running under the demanding winds of the area. At that moment, the NRG 1500 CLASS 1 will be the first South American equipment with an integral certification for IEC 1+ CLASS
The programmed visits let the verification of all details of high technical sensitivity previous to the mounting of the equipment, corroborating in every case that the procedures of the local workshop were adjusted to the international design acquired by the regional companies which impulse the enterprise
During the essay tests the answers of the electrical components and electronicals of the equipment were examined, this is the final phase previous to the building in El Tordillo area.
These verifications covered the action of all control Systems on each one of the components, the control simulations and signals for the different working conditions, so as the emergency and safety devices.
